Methodology

The intervention model is based on several theoretical sources: a memory training method, active psychopedagogy, and an ecological model of social intervention. From the cognitive aspect, the project carries out two main activities: user assessment and memory training.

User assessment is conducted individually and has two main objectives: on one hand, to detect possible cases of cognitive decline and assess memory complaints, and on the other hand, to evaluate the quality of life of the participants.

Memory training is conducted in groups, and its objective is to stimulate various cognitive processes, including attention-concentration, language, comprehension, executive functions, reasoning, and learning, as well as the development of cognitive resources and the use of specific strategies, primarily association and visualization. It also includes techniques for remembering names, numbers, and texts.
