In September 1998 Bilaketa launched a programme entitled Francisco Ynduráin Senior University (acronym in Spanish: UMAFY), with the philosophy of freedom through knowledge.

UMAFY is nowadays a firmly rooted centre whose prestige is widely acknowledged, as can be seen in the ever-increasing demad for its services by our elders.
