Francisco Ynduráin Award

In 1987, Bilaketa inaugurated the first edition of the Francisco Ynduráin Letters Award for Young Writers, which since then is conferred annually to acknowledge the literary work of young writers in Navarre.

It is not by chance that this Award bears the name of Francisco Ynduráin, a celebrated local with an excellent literary intuition who opened the doors of universities to the works of many authors who were hardly known at the time and who are now unanimously acclaimed writers.

The names in the list of award-winners have become increasingly relevant in the realm of literature. Authors acknowledged with this award get their winning work published in the Francisco Ynduráin Young Writers Collection.
